I want to take a minute to recognize the amazing support that you provide to Recovery Acres and the people we help. Without your continued involvement, 1835 House would be a much different place, and not nearly as community and recovery focused as it is.
Specifically, I want to thank all you who continue to gather and show your support for the current clients. That includes everyone who shows up for the 6:15 meeting, helps chair and facilitate daily meetings, speaks at the speaker meeting, or goes to Renfrew Detox on behalf of 1835 House. Many of you have volunteered your time and service to attend to building maintenance, deliveries, or have stopped by with food and financial donations. We want to let you know that your contributions matter a great deal and as a result 1835 House and CARE for Women are a community that works with the needs of our clients in mind.
We also want to thank those of you who jumped at the chance to start a new Fundraising Committee, those who contributed the CARE for Women project, and our Alumni who hold positions on the Board of Directors or the Alumni Committee.
For those of you who have been absent for a while – we miss you. Please consider this an enthusiastic invitation to come back into the fold! Right now we are experiencing an exciting shift, partly through new faces on our Fundraising Committee and our Alumni Committee, and partly through more recent Alumni who are stepping up in the 1835 Brotherhood. We would love to see you come back and connect for Birthday Nights, Speaker and 6:15 Meetings, or just to say hello.
I hope to see you soon.
