CARE for Women Clinical Team
CARE for Women is facilitated by Jessica van ‘t Hof, MC and Tanya Stewart, BSc. The program is designed by co-occurring disorders expert Dr. John Streukens, Ph.D. (Ed), M.Ed., R. Psych., CRHSPP, ICCDPD, RSAS, SAP.
Jessica van ‘t Hof, MC
Jessica emphasizes person-centered recovery in her counselling role at CARE for Women. She works toward promoting self-responsibility while supporting women through developmental transitions that build resilience.
Jessica holds a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle (Vancouver, British Columbia). She is passionate about working with people and facilitating therapy that supports mental health and increased coping strategies. She has worked as an Addiction Counsellor in Vancouver, B.C., and in South Africa. Prior to joining the CARE team, Jessica facilitated nature and animal-assisted counselling. She enjoys creatively integrating holistic connections between lifestyle, emotional health, and well-being.
When not in the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with horses, keeping physically active, and cooking healthy meals.
Tanya Stewart, BSc
Senior Recovery Coach
Tanya comes to CARE for Women with 11 years sobriety and a passion for life in recovery. She is excited to share the principles that have served her own journey in recovery. Prior to joining the CARE team Tanya worked as an addiction support worker at Calgary Alpha House. Through a prior career in occupational therapy Tanya has developed an ability to facilitate empowered person-centered recovery. She values a holistic perspective that incorporates spiritual, physical, emotional and financial wellness into her maintenance of health and wellness.
In her free time, Tanya enjoys spending time with her daughter, being out in nature, hiking, or sitting by the river. Her creative outlets are knitting and embroidery. She is also an avid dog lover.
